Candice Sunseri
Editor, Researcher, College Consultant Who Genuinely Likes Working with Teenagers
Candice Sunseri has a degree in English from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and worked as a book and magazine editor in the Chicago area for about 10 years before moving to Ventura County, California. She then began a second career as a school librarian, until her job was cut for budgetary reasons (can't lie--it still stung!). With her experience working with teens, teaching research, and editing books, she soon joined Admit You to College and jumped into the world of college admissions consulting. After three admission cycles with her own kids and four with her AYTC kids, she decided to form a new company with her son, Brayden, and College Path Consulting was born.
Candice can meet with students in person in Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, Westlake Village, Simi Valley and other local communities. She meets on video conference if students live out of the area, though she tries to fly to visit clients at least once in person if she can. She loves traveling, walking her dog, watching Jeopardy! and Top Chef, trivia games, cooking (but not cleaning), and giving advice. Her life goals include: taking a cooking class in Tuscany, hiking Mt. Whitney, and playing in the King Trivia Tournament of Champions.
Brayden Sunseri
Essay Specialist, Novelist, Speech and Interview Coach
Brayden Sunseri graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in English creative writing, and has worked as a TA, a tutor, and a coach throughout his academic career. After completing the college process himself, and visiting lots of other schools with his siblings, he has jumped into the world of educational consulting, joining professional organizations such as the Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC), and the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA). He completed the IECA Summer Training Institute in 2023.

An essay specialist who is excited to connect with students on their own college journeys, Brayden joins College Path Consulting as an enthusiastic young counselor.
Brayden can meet with students in person in Alameda and Santa Clara counties, or anywhere in the Bay Area if you’re willing to meet him halfway. He also meets virtually for clients outside of the area, or anyone who prefers. Personally, he loves playing games, solving problems, laughing with his friends, and a warm cup of tea.
